The archipelago along the Lindesnes coast is a labyrinth of small islands, islets, and skerries that form a protective barrier against the open sea. This creates a unique maritime environment that is ideal for boat trips, kayaking, and exploration. You can calmly row through peaceful coves, discover secluded beaches, or look for wildlife like seals and seabirds that call this area home.

With its extensive coastline, Lindesnes is a fantastic place for water activities. You can enjoy boat trips, fishing, diving, and other water sports activities in the area.

With a large window looking out into the ocean, you can watch marine life while enjoying a variety of unique dishes based on seafood from the areas around Lindesnes. Some of the ingredients are sourced right outside the restaurant window.

The view through the window changes with the seasons, and the fish are enticed into view using sound and light.

Spangereid Canal

Spangereid in Lindesnes was a chieftain's seat during the Viking Age. Archaeological findings and excavations reveal that there was a canal in the Viking Age that connected Lehnefjorden and Njervefjorden, right through what is now the cente

Most likely, the Vikings constructed the canal to have the option of avoiding the treacherous Lindesnes while ensuring both income and control over seafaring traffic between the east and west. In 2007, a replica of the Viking Canal was "reopened," making it once again possible to travel by boat between the east and west without having to navigate around Lindesnes.
